Our Mission

About Regis

Regis is an AI-powered compliance platform built for the people who carry regulatory risk on their shoulders — compliance officers, legal teams, risk managers, and governance professionals who need to know where their policies fall short before a regulator does.

Why we exist

Compliance teams across UK businesses operate in high-stakes environments where a single missed policy gap can mean a fine, an enforcement action, client friction, or reputational risk. Reviewing policies and procedures against the full body of applicable rules is slow, manual work, and the rules keep moving.

i

Regis replaces days of manual line-by-line review with a focused, actionable report that shows exactly where a compliance manual falls short — and what to do about it.

What we do

Add company context, upload policies or evidence, and Regis extracts the text, runs a structured gap analysis against the selected compliance pack, and returns a prioritised findings report with risk ratings, identified strengths, and concrete remediation actions. It is built to be read and acted on, not filed away.

Alongside policy review, the Scenario Risk Analyzer lets teams describe real-world workplace situations — a hospitality offer during a pitch, a potential conflict of interest, a sanctions question — and receive a structured risk assessment with a draft escalation note.

The Regis platform is focused on UK business compliance:

United Kingdom current focus

Company context, workplace compliance, gifts and hospitality, anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, sanctions screening, UK GDPR, FCA financial services packs, escalation, and audit trail.

Live company data layer

Companies House lookup enriches UK company profiles before review scope selection. EU and US regulatory libraries remain available for expansion and dev/admin workflows.

Regis does not stop at finding the gap. For any finding, it drafts ready-to-paste compliance-manual language that closes it — written in the formal voice of a manual, scoped to the company’s jurisdiction, and citing the governing rule — so remediation starts with a draft in hand rather than a blank page.

Beyond point-in-time reviews, Regis monitors regulatory sources so teams can see relevant updates as the rules they are measured against change.

How to use the platform

Regis is designed to integrate into your existing compliance review cycles. Here is the operational workflow for conducting an audit:

01

Define Scope & Context

Select your target framework (such as FCA SYSC, GDPR, or UK Media Rules) and supply your company details. The platform enriches your profile using direct registry integrations.

02

Upload & Parse Evidence

Submit your policy draft, supplier conduct guide, or employee handbook in PDF format. Regis extracts the text in a sandbox and prepares it for analysis.

03

Analyze Gaps & Strengths

The analysis engine maps the text against governing clauses, surfacing open gaps, citing regulations, and drafting ready-to-paste policy remediation options.

04

Human Verification & Sign-off

Review findings side-by-side with regulations. Resolve gaps, edit drafted remediation language, and save rationales directly to the audit log for professional sign-off.

The principles behind the product

Clarity over decoration

Every element should make the product easier to understand — not just prettier to look at.

Show the work

Trust is earned through transparency. We surface the methodology, the requirements, and the reasoning behind every finding.

Institutional confidence

The product is built to belong in a boardroom, not a pitch deck — serious tools for serious work.

Approachable rigour

Compliance is complex. The interface should reduce that complexity, not mirror it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:Is Regis a replacement for legal advice?

No. Regis is an operational support tool. All outputs (gap assessments and suggested policy drafts) are templates for review. Final approvals and decisions must be validated by qualified compliance or legal professionals.

Q:Do you use uploaded documents to train AI models?

Never. Regis operates under enterprise API commercial agreements with our LLM partners (such as Anthropic). Your uploaded documents are parsed server-side and sent via encrypted TLS connections for analysis; they are never stored or used by third parties for model training.

Q:How is data isolated between different accounts?

Data isolation is enforced at the database layer using Row-Level Security (RLS) policies. All queries are bound to your account ID, ensuring it is structurally impossible for any account to view or query another account's uploaded manuals or findings.

Q:What regulatory frameworks do you support?

We currently support pre-configured packs for the UK FCA (SYSC, COBS), GDPR/DPA 2018 data protection guidelines, EU ESMA/EBA outsourcing standards, and UK Media & Advertising workplace conduct rules. Additional US and EU frameworks are available in our system roadmap.

How we handle your data

Compliance documents are sensitive, and we treat them that way. Regis is built on a strict multi-tenant architecture with data isolation enforced at the database layer, email and password authentication with email verification (plus Google sign-in and optional multi-factor authentication), and encryption in transit and at rest. Data is processed to provide scenario and policy analysis; per Anthropic’s API terms, submitted content is not used to train models.

Users should not upload highly sensitive personal, legal, financial, medical, or confidential client information unless proper agreements and controls are in place.

For the full technical detail, see our Security page.
