FAQ & User Guide

Welcome to the Regis AI reference center. Here you will find step-by-step instructions on operating the platform, along with answers to frequently asked security, data, and methodology questions.

How to use Regis AI

Regis is designed to operate as a structured, reviewable partner in your compliance workflow. Follow this step-by-step lifecycle to perform audits and monitor requirements:

1Define Company Context & Scope

When starting a new review, select your company sector and jurisdiction. Enter your firm name to fetch live data from registries (like Companies House). Next, select a target framework pack (e.g., FCA Systems & Controls, GDPR Data Protection, or UK Media Rules).

2Upload Evidence or Policy Text

Upload your policy manual in PDF format, or paste the raw policy text directly into the dashboard editor. Regis runs a server-side parser to extract text blocks while keeping document data secure.

3Analyze Gaps and Strengths

The Regis analysis engine matches your text against governing statutory clauses. It returns an interactive report showing detected gaps, identified strengths (where evidence complies), and specific risk ratings.

4Review & Remediation

For every identified gap, Regis suggests pre-drafted, context-aware policy language. You can edit this language inline, accept the remediation suggestion, and save your reviewer notes directly to the audit log.

5Continuous Regulatory Monitoring

Once an audit is logged, Regis enriches your monitoring feed. As regulatory bodies (FCA, ESMA) publish alerts, they are automatically mapped to your uploaded manuals to highlight new impacts immediately.

i

Rule of Thumb: Always check citations. While Regis maps text to rules, statutory codes can be amended or subject to context-specific exceptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

General questions

Q:What is Regis AI?

Regis is a professional compliance operations platform. It enriches company profiles, maps policy evidence against statutory regulations, identifies gaps in policy manuals, and drafts context-aware remediation templates.

Q:Who is Regis built for?

Regis is designed for in-house legal and compliance teams, risk managers, and governance professionals, as well as advisory and legal consulting firms who audit client compliance materials.

Q:Is Regis a replacement for legal counsel?

No. Regis is an operational auditing tool. The gap reports and suggested policy language are drafts for review. All compliance decisions, policy amendments, and filings must be verified and approved by qualified professionals.

Security & Data Isolation

Q:Are my uploaded policies secure?

Yes. Uploaded documents are stored in secure cloud storage under strict Row-Level Security (RLS) policies. Communication occurs exclusively over encrypted TLS 1.3 channels, and data is protected at rest using AES-256.

Q:Do you use uploaded documents to train AI models?

Never. Regis uses enterprise API commercial contracts. Per Anthropic's API data usage terms, submitted content is processed solely for analysis and is never retained or used to train public LLM models.

Q:Can other organisations see my policies or audit history?

No. Data isolation is enforced at the database layer. Every database query is automatically scoped to your unique, authenticated account ID, preventing cross-tenant data exposure.

Frameworks & Coverage

Q:What jurisdictions are supported?

Regis is currently focused on UK workplace and business compliance (FCA, UK GDPR, Media Rules, Anti-Bribery, Sanctions). EU and US regulatory libraries are available in our roadmap for upcoming releases.

Q:How often are the regulatory feeds updated?

Our monitoring feed syncs with regulatory publishers hourly to identify and surface changes in statutory codes.
